About Greg Contaldi
I’m an experienced writer & producer with an extensive background in daytime, reality, and scripted content. Currently, I serve as the Showrunner's Assistant on Law & Order: SVU, where I also contributed as a freelance writer on two episodes, including the show's landmark 550th. I am a confident self-starter and proven leader with the ability to collaborate in fast-paced environments to deliver cost-effective projects, on time, and creatively.
Previously, at The Drew Barrymore Show, I oversaw logistics for celebrity, lifestyle, and human interest segments and coordinated across departments from concept to delivery. I assisted with the remote launch of Drew, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, developing ways to retain the energy and intimacy of a daytime talk show. I've served on the casting team for Kassting, Inc., helping to deliver the perfect cast for several hit streaming reality series, and contributed to productions including: The Dr. Oz Show; Tamron Hall; Blue Bloods; and Odd Mom Out.
Additionally, I have written and created a three-season comedy web series where I oversaw a writer's room of 8+ writers, as well as other scripted shorts.
• I’ve been recognized by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for my contributions to the Emmy-Award Winning, The Dr. Oz Show.
• Our scripted series received recognition from 20+ national/international film festivals and was awarded multiple awards including: Best Original Story; Best Acting Ensemble; and Best Overall Web Series.
• I founded and directed the West Essex Film Festival; contacted and booked guest speakers including: David Chase (creator of HBO’s The Sopranos).
• I graduated with honors from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts & The Stern School of Business.
